Shelter Home for the Homeless

This hostel, which unusually has two main entrances, was built cheaply (€870 /m²) and quickly, in only 6 months and has an energy rating of A. One of the main entrances leads to a temporary hostel which takes up most of the ground floor. 10 double rooms, bathrooms and a dining area are provided for the use of the homeless.  The other entrance belongs to a separate area for longer-term residents. A luggage storage area and accommodation for females are located on the ground floor of this part of the hostel, while on the first floor there is a recreation room and large communal area along with a further 15 double rooms with shared bathrooms.

As part of the integration process the homeless have to do chores to help maintain the building such as tidying, cleaning or even gardening.
