Many Dutch architects worked to ensure that this apartment, 70 meters from Peter Zumthor’s world-famous spa, should be as discreet as possible. Two architectural studios took part in the design, with two lead architects and 9 assistants, while 14 Dutch firms and design offices furnished the villa. An elliptical courtyard is the only part of the building visible from the outside, as the whole living space is underground. The entrance is also secret, through an old shed, into a tunnel leading into the building. It is worth the walk, as visitors can enjoy both luxury surroundings and an unspoiled Swiss mountain panorama. The living arrangements in the building are very practical: two families or four couples can stay here, but it can accommodate larger groups too, a maximum of 8 adults and 4 children. Of course, it is not cheap, a one week stay in the high season costs €4000.
