Surgical Field Hospital & Mobile First Aid Station

The Turkish Armed Forces is equipped with two mobile medical units: a mobile first aid station and a surgical field hospital, which can be used in disaster situations and in wartime alike. Both are housed in opening steel and aluminium shipping containers complemented with fireproof inflatable tent structures in a modular system. The transport and placement of the units is done by military vehicles. The 20 bed first aid station, with two treatment rooms can be set up in 75 minutes, while the key elements of the field hospital, which has 30 beds (accommodating a maximum of 60 patients), 6 intensive care units and 4 operating theatres can be made functional within two hours.
