The dasparkhotel in Ottensheim is the first in a chain of hotels. That is if it is not an exaggeration to call three concrete pipes converted into bedrooms a hotel. Lacking thermal insulation the hotel is only open from spring until autumn. Rooms can be booked on the Internet, but only a maximum of one tube for three nights. Guests pay after their holiday as much as they feel is fair. There are no permanent staff and the doors open with a key code. Apart from a double bed (which holds the bed linen), there is room for luggage and not much else. When the doors are closed, light enters the room through a small skylight, although the reading lights visible in the photos really do provide enough light and there are sockets for charging mobile telephones and cameras.
